Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to bring my own equipment?
Nope. Rental equipment is included in most lesson packages. If it's not included, rentals are available for $15/day. Our equipment has been described as 'functional' and 'probably from the 90s' — both accurate.
What should I wear?
Warm, waterproof layers. Dress like you're going to stand outside in 28-degree weather, because that's exactly what you're doing. We sell hand warmers at the lodge for $8.
How many people are in a group lesson?
Typically 3-6 students per instructor. Sometimes it's just you. We don't get that many people.
Can I book lessons in advance?
Technically yes, but you can also just show up. We've never been at capacity for lessons. Or for anything, really.
Are your instructors certified?
Our instructors are experienced skiers who are passionate about teaching. Formal PSIA certification is... in progress. Mo has been "about to take the test" since 2004.
