Something for every season. Mostly winter, but we try.
Winter Season Events
The main event is always the skiing, but we do our best to make it more than just 40 vertical feet.
Season Opener
December (weather permitting)
Mo fires up the Land Rover, the rope tow gets its annual test run, and Les makes the first batch of hot chocolate. If there's snow, we're skiing. If there's not, we're hoping.
Moonlight Ski Night
Monthly, January–March (Saturday nearest full moon)
Night skiing under the full moon with hot chocolate, a bonfire, and remarkably poor visibility. Headlamps recommended. Flashlights accepted. Phone flashlights tolerated.
Chili Cook-off
First Saturday in February
Bring your best chili to the lodge. Mo judges (he always wins with his own entry — we've stopped arguing). Hot chocolate provided. Antacids available.
Snowball's Birthday Party
March 15
The mountain's favorite employee turns another year older. Dog treats, belly rubs, and a special Snowball-themed run down the bunny slope. All dogs welcome (leashed on the hill, please).
Season Closer & Spring Fling
Late March (last skiable weekend)
The final turns of the season. Costume skiing encouraged — Mo wore a Hawaiian shirt last year. End-of-season prices in the pro shop. Les makes her famous goodbye brownies.
Off-Season Events
The mountain doesn't sleep — it just trades ski boots for work boots (and lawn mowers).
Summer BBQ & Mow Party
June (second Saturday)
Mo grills, Les organizes, Snowball begs. Hike the trails, see the mountain in green, and help Mo pretend he doesn't miss winter. Lawn games, good food, better company.
Trail Maintenance Day
October (first Saturday)
Volunteer day! Help clear trails, patch the lodge, and debate whether this is the year Mo finally fixes the summit camera. Lunch provided. Gloves recommended.
Season Prep Party
November (Saturday before Thanksgiving)
The mountain gets ready for winter. Test the rope tow, check the snowmaking hose, stock the lodge with hot chocolate. Mo gives his annual 'this is our year' speech. It always is.
